Description

The dead sea salts have been well-known for their therapeutic properties since ancient times. Westlab Dead Sea Salt is unrefined and cleaned with no use of bleaching agents or harsh chemicals. The salts relief itchy skin and are useful for people whose skin is prone to psoriasis, acne and eczema.

Westlab Dead Sea Salt contains high levels of minerals that are absorbed via the skin when added to the bath. With a high content of Magnesium, it helps replace vital minerals, support a natural healing of the skin, and brings relaxation to the muscles.

  • Magnesium helps balance, protect, repair and soothe the skin
  • Calcium calms and reliefs skin cells, which is essential in cleansing pores and strengthening cell membranes
  • Potassium balances the moisture levels in the skin
  • Bromide helps relax sore muscles

About the Dead Sea in general

The dead sea is the lowest place on Earth located more than 400m below sea level. Despite its name, the Dead Sea is actually a lake. The high concentration of salt in the water makes it one of the world’s saltiest lakes. Regular sea water contains about 3 % salt while the Dead Sea contains around 32 % salt. It has a very high concentration of 21 minerals in which 12 of these are not found in other seas or oceans.

Studies show that minerals in the Dead Sea water are useful in the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, acne and rheumatism. Minerals from the Dead Sea are effective for skin disorders such as psoriasis as they strengthen and support skin tissues, balance the natural skin elements, remove skin toxins and spark blood circulation. This can result in extending the duration of skin remission and is recommended for people with e.g. psoriasis and very dry skin as an alternative treatment.
