Puori Omega 3 is a fish oil supplement with a natural lemon flavour developed with the aim to be the most effective and purest omega 3 product on the market.

Puori Omega 3 claims to maintain cardiovascular health, brain function and normal vision.

Each capsule contains a minimum of 74% fish oil and omega 3 fatty acids with a high concentration of DHA and EPA. For each serving (3 capsules) you get 2000mg omega 3, 1250mg EPA and 500mg DHA.

Each batch of Puori O3 fish oil is tested by IFOS (The International Fish Oil Standards), the most stringent and reputable third party lab for testing. This ensures the highest safety, purity, concentration, stability, and cleanliness.

Puori create products based on the latest research and evidence, ensuring that its fish oil supplements are of the best possible quality and benefit, and developed according to the latest research.

For children older than 11 years and adults, take 3 capsules daily. It is recommended to consume fish oil with a protein-rich meal or after exercise due to its anti-inflammatory effects. If you are in doubt, consult with your physician or pharmacist.

You can take the daily dose as you like, either divided throughout the day or all at once.

Keep your O3 fish oil in a dark, cool place (we recommend the fridge).

Fish oil reacts to heat and light that can make it rancid. Fish oil that has turned rancid, which you can base on the taste and smell, should be discarded immediately.

Always consult with your doctor before using this product if you are diabetic, pregnant, allergic to iodine, anticipate surgery or using blood thinners. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Side Effects

Normally, omega 3 does not cause side effects. However, minor side effects may occur, typically in the form of gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea or indigestion.

People who are allergic to shellfish or fish should seek advice at their doctor/health care professional before consuming omega 3 supplements.

Supplements based on omega 3 may extend bleeding time. If you are taking drugs such as NSAIDs (non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs) or anticoagulants (blood thinners) that affects bleeding time, you should discuss use of omega 3 supplements with your doctor.

Scientific Research

For people with Psoriasis

HelloSkin’s experts did not find any clinical data on specific effects of Puori O3 on people with psoriasis.

However, the long chain omega-3 fatty acids from fish oils (eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid) present in the product, has previously shown to benefit people with psoriasis. In a review of 15 studies testing this, it was concluded that there was moderate evidence of benefit for the use of fish oil supplements in psoriasis. 12 of these studies reported clinical benefits, with improvements in for instance erythema, scaling and psoriasis severity scores (1).

Fish oil supplements have also been shown to be beneficial in other inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis (2). For instance, in one study, patients that used fish oils were more likely to reduce the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and more likely to be in remission compared to patients that did not take fish oils (3).

These benefits of fish oil in chronic inflammatory conditions are caused by the fact that omega-3 can help limit several aspects of inflammation, including the release and action of inflammatory chemical mediators (4).

The mechanisms underlying the anti-inflammatory actions even include their capability to switch on and off genes that are involved in inflammatory pathways. Interestingly, in controlled animal experiments, fish oils have been shown to reduce the activation of Th17 cells (5), which are known to be key mediators in the inflammatory pathogenesis of psoriasis (6).
