La Roche-Posay Lipikar Surgras Concentrated Shower Cream is designed to replace standard shower creams, gels, and soaps that can aggravate dry skin.

It is hypoallergenic and free of preservatives like parabens and other irritants in soaps that strip essential minerals from the skin and dehydrate it further.

Instead, its 10% lipid-rich concentrate (from shea butter derivative) and niacinamide content replenish the skin’s lipids while you shower, helping to make dry skin smoother, softer, and less tight. It also contains the same soothing thermal spring water that is common to all La Roche-Posay products in this range.

In people with a dry skin condition, such as eczema, the cutaneous barrier that limits water loss becomes damaged. The lipids in this shower cream help to restore this barrier, protecting your skin into the future and making it feel more comfortable long-term.

It is lightly fragranced and has a non-greasy, non-sticky texture, ensuring that the skin’s pores stay free of blockages.

Because of its gentle-acting nature, this shower cream can be used on sensitive skin and is suitable for children.

Scientific Research

For people with Psoriasis

HelloSkin’s experts were unable to find any clinical data on the use of La Roche-Posay Lipikar Surgras Concentrated Shower Cream in people living with psoriasis. However, the products contains glycerol, which is known to help attract and bind water in the skin and thereby help keeping the skin hydrated. Water evaporation is increased in psoriatic lesions compared with normal skin (1).
