Description

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Lait Body Milk is a lipid-replenishing formula that helps dry skin to rehydrate, repair itself, and protect itself into the future.

The high lipid value of this body milk is due largely to the 20% shea butter it contains. It also contains canola oil, niacinamide, glycerin, and is rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6. These ingredients help to restore essential oils to the skin and improve appearance. The thermal spring water that is present in all La Roche Posay products also helps to return moisture to the skin.

In people with a dry skin condition such as eczema, the skin’s natural protective barrier is compromised. This means that excessive moisture escapes from the upper layers of skin, leading to dry, itchy, tight skin that becomes increasingly uncomfortable.

Lipikar Lait Body Milk helps return moisture to the skin by rebuilding the cutaneous barrier and helping the skin to lock in more moisture. This not only makes it feel smoother and softer; it also helps maintain suppleness into the future.

This body milk is quickly absorbed by the skin and is free of most of the irritants and moisture-stripping chemicals that are often contained in standard soaps, gels, and body lotions.

It is lightly fragranced, non-greasy, non-sticky, and is designed for use all over the body, even on sensitive skin types.

Scientific Research

For people with Psoriasis

HelloSkin’s experts were not able to find clinical data on the use of La Roche-Posay Lipikar Lait Body Milk in people with psoriasis. However, the product contains glycerin and liquid paraffin, which are known to attract and retain water from the deeper skin layer (1), and to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface, respectively.

These are important properties for people with psoriasis, since water evaporation is increased in psoriatic lesions compared with normal skin (2).
