Dermalex Psoriasis Treatment Cream is a topical cream that reduces the typical symptoms of mild to moderate psoriasis without the use of commonly-used ingredients in other psoriasis creams. It is especially suitable for those who want to accelerate the skin barrier recovery without the use of steroids (cortisone), tar, sulphur, or keratolytic agents.
The cream works by normalising skin cell production and by helping the body’s own repair mechanism accelerate the restoration of its skin barrier recovery. By creating a protective barrier, it prevents moisture loss.
The cream can be used by people with damaged skin affected by psoriasis symptoms. It can be re-applied if symptoms do reappear in the future. It is suitable for people older than 14 years with mild to moderate psoriasis, and can be applied to all skin types and all areas of the body. Long-term use is generally considered safe.
This cream does not ‘thin’ the skin or make it more sensitive to injury. It does not cause photo-allergic reactions or skin pigmentation problems like some treatments and, because it is non-greasy and colour-free, it will not stain clothing.

Apply to affected areas after cleansing the skin. This can be repeated 2-3 times a day as required; there is no specified quantity limitation.
After the first few days, any burning sensations (see below) should ease and you should be able to apply the cream without first diluting with water.
Do not apply to open or ‘weeping’ wounds. If you have extremely dry skin or intense itching, use a perfume-free hypoallergenic moisturiser after using Dermalex Psoriasis Cream, to soothe your skin.
It is important not to scratch itchy skin – keeping fingernails short is advisable as this will help to avoid infection.
Always keep Dermalex Psoriasis Treatment Cream well out of children’s reach, and make sure that it is used only externally. Avoid contact with the genitals and the eyes.
Check the ingredients carefully before use. If you have a known hypersensitivity to any ingredient, avoid using this product. However, a mild burning sensation and/or tingling on the treated spot of skin in the first few days is quite normal.
Before using this cream while pregnant or breastfeeding consult your doctor. Also get in touch with your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after four weeks of use.
No documented side effects have been associated with the use of Dermalex Psoriasis Cream, and there are no reported interactions between this product and other medicines.
A slight tingling or burning sensation when first using this cream is quite normal.
HelloSkin’s experts were unable to find clinical data on the use of Dermalex Psoriasis Cream on psoriatic plaques.
The product does, however, contain white petrolatum and paraffinum liquidum that is known to limit the evaporation of water from the skin surface. In psoriasis the water loss across the skin is increased in psoriatic lesions compared with healthy skin (1).
