4 lifestyle changes you can make when dealing with acne

From studies carried out by researchers, stress whilst sleeping can be associated with body temperature. In order for your acne condition to stay under control, turn the heating down to a lower temperature before you drift off to sleep.

3. Keep the face clean

Try to avoid touching your face, as your hands are full of bacteria which can aggravate your pimples and cause flare-ups. If you have long hair, tie it up away from your face, as hair is also full of bacteria which can spread germs onto the face. Aim to keep your pillows cases, makeup brushes and your phone germ-free, as these items come in direct contact with your face every single day.

4. Exercise

As acne is often caused by stress, you should find methods of eliminating your stress levels and keeping anxieties to a minimum. Exercise is a great way of helping to reduce stress and also improves blood circulation. Oxygen is then sent to your skin's surface, which gets rid of dead cells. Dead cells block up your glands and increase the risk of acne flare-ups. Ensure you shower immediately after exercise, as sweat can contribute to acne breakouts.
